Nan (Grizzly Bear)

A long time ago, a man was walking down the valley that was very scared of Nan (Grizzly Bears). To stay safe overnight, he set both ends of the bridge on fire just so a bear wouldn’t get him. After he burnt the bridge, they replaced the bridge at New Cliff and renamed it Burnt Bridge. This bridge is important because many people took this trail to trade food and grease.
